Trapped Woman Rescued In Thanksgiving Fire At NJ Home
A woman trapped in a burning townhouse at the Jersey Shore was rescued Thanksgiving night, authorities said.

NEPTUNE CITY, NJ - A woman trapped in a burning townhouse at the Jersey Shore was rescued by first responders on Thanksgiving night, authorities said.
Around 7:40 p.m. on Nov. 25, Neptune City police responded to a call from a man who said his sister was trapped in the home at 1221 Adams Way in the municipality.
Although a "majority" of the fire was exterminated by three officers on the first floor, police were unable to see the trapped woman on the second floor due to the heavy smoke condition and "zero visibility," Neptune City Police Chief Matthew Quagliato told Patch.

Upon arrival, the Neptune City Fire Department was able to locate and escort the second woman from the building. The brother and sister - both in their 60s - were treated by the Neptune City First Aid Squad for third-degree facial burns and smoke inhalation. They were subsequently transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
The fire department received assistance from the Asbury Park, Avon, Wall and Wanamassa fire departments, Quagliato said. There was “moderate” damage sustained to the home, mostly due to smoke and water. The blaze was contained to the first floor, Quagliato confirmed.
