2. Greater Atlantic City Chamber announces 2026 Business Excellence Awards honorees (shorelocalnews.com) — Atlantic City businesses and community leaders will be honored at the Greater Atlantic City Chamber's 2026 Business Excellence Awards on December 10 in Galloway. Local standouts include Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, Visit Atlantic City, Atlantic City Electric, and multiple young professionals shaping the city's arts, nonprofit, and business scenes. Residents can attend to celebrate regional success and networking.
3. Atlantic City, NJ, Man Gets 5 Years for Taxi Robbery (wpgtalkradio.com) — An Atlantic City man has been sentenced to five years in state prison for robbing a taxi driver at gunpoint after leaving Ocean Casino Resort and then firing a shot through the cab's windshield near Route 30 and New Jersey Avenue. Prosecutors say the 2025 incident involved a handgun pressed to the driver's head before the robber fled with cash and a phone.
4. Atlantic City Man Pleads Guilty to Endangering Child (973espn.com) — An Atlantic City man has pleaded guilty to third-degree endangering the welfare of a child after police say he attacked and threatened a woman in front of her two young children. The December 2025 incident drew an Atlantic City Police response, and prosecutors say a plea deal now calls for a recommended three-year state prison sentence.
5. Coastal storm causes major beach damage in 10 shore towns (ocnjdaily.com) — Atlantic City's beaches and protective dunes suffered some of the worst damage from last month's powerful nor'easter, with rough surf carving 15-foot sand cliffs and exposing the city's vulnerability. State engineers documented major erosion in 10 shore towns, while local mayors and Rep. Jeff Van Drew are now pushing for federal help to repair dunes, protect property, and strengthen coastal defenses before future storms.
