2 Charged In Long Beach Township Drug Investigation, Police Say
Police said a township narcotics investigation ended April 24 with arrests of a Waretown woman and Barnegat man.
LONG BEACH TWP., NJ — A Long Beach Township police investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics at locations in the township ended April 24 with the arrests of two Ocean County residents, according to the Long Beach Township Police Department.
Police said Angela Mezzina, 39, of Waretown was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine and suboxone, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Michael J. Miceli, 61, of Barnegat Township also was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the department.
The department said the case was investigated by the Long Beach Township Police Department along with the Long Beach Township Police Department K-9 Unit and Operations Unit. The investigation focused on the distribution of illegal narcotics at locations within Long Beach Township, according to the department.

Mezzina and Miceli were processed at the Long Beach Township Police Department and later released, police reported.
In its announcement, the department said it "remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community through continued proactive enforcement efforts."
