2023 Beach Badges: What To Know For Long Beach Island

LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ — With the weather getting warmer, it's nearly impossible to not fantasize about summer.

And if you're dreaming about those days spent lounging on the beach, here's a guide to what you need to know in Long Beach Island.

Barnegat Light

Badges are required for all ages 12-and-older. Lifeguards will be present daily starting in June from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Veterans and active military must obtain badges from the beach badge booth before going on to the beach. Get badges through the Viply app.

• Pre-Season – $35 (price good through June 5)
• Season – $45
• Weekly – $22 (Saturday through Friday)
• Daily – $5
• Senior – $12 (65 years or over with proof of age)

Beach Haven

Badges are required for all ages 12-and-older. Veterans and active military get free badges from the Centre St. badge office with proper ID. Get badges here.

• Pre-Season – $30 (price good through May 31)
• Season – $40
• Weekly – $20
• Daily – $10
• Senior – $10 (65 years or over with proof of age)

Harvey Cedars

Badges are required beginning June 17 for all ages 12-and-older. Veterans and active military are free with proper ID. Get badges through the Viply app.

• Pre-Season – $35 (price good through June 15)
• Season – $45
• Weekly – $20 (Saturday through Friday)
• Daily – $7
• Senior – $12 (65 years or over with proof of age)

Long Beach Township

Badges are required for all ages 12-and-older. Veterans and active military are free with proper ID. Order badges via this form.

• Season – $50
• Weekly – $20 (Saturday through Friday)
• Daily – $10
• Senior – $5 (65 years or over with proof of age)

Ship Bottom

Badges are required beginning June 18 through Labor Day for all ages 12-and-older. Veterans and active military do not need a beach badge; just show ID to the badge checker. Lifeguards will be on duty from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Buy badges through the Viply app.
