4 People, Including Baby, Injured In Manahawkin Crash: Police

All involved in the Stafford accident sustained minor, non-life threatening injuries, police said.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Four people, including a 10-month-old, were injured in a two-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in Manahawkin, Stafford police said. All injuries were minor and non-life threatening, according to police.

Sandra Branham, of Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania, travelled east on Route 72 in the middle lane approaching the Stafford Square traffic signal, police said. As she approached the traffic signal, she attempted to drive to the left-hand lane, police said.

Then she struck a Nissan Rogue at about 2 p.m., which was driving in that left-hand lane, according to police. Branham received summonses for improper lane change and careless driving, police said.

Both vehicles left the roadway as a result of the collision, police said. Anthony Iliadis, his wife and their 10-month-old baby, all of Bayville, were in the Rogue, officials said. Each vehicle sustained significant damage and had to be towed.

All individuals were taken to the Southern Ocean Medical Center. Police believe everyone was wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
