$4K+ Worth Of Merchandise Stolen From Manahawkin Store: Police

Isaac Brown Jr. was charged with shoplifting after stealing about $4,630 worth of items from Dick's Sporting Goods, Stafford police said.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — A Seaside Heights man was charged with shoplifting after stealing more than $4,000 worth of merchandise from Dick's Sporting Goods in Manahawkin, police said.

Isaac Brown Jr., 35, was taken into custody at 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 28, Stafford police said. Brown had stolen about $4,630 worth of merchandise from the store located at 223 Stafford Park Blvd., according to a release.

He was charged and released with a criminal complaint summons to appear in Ocean County Superior Court.

In the state of New Jersey, shoplifting of merchandise between $500 and $75,000 is a felony.
