BARNEGAT, NJ — Two age-restricted apartment buildings are being proposed for Erin Way in Barnegat, according to public notice.

The application by the Residence Club will be heard by the Barnegat Township Zoning Board of Adjustment at their July 8 meeting. The meeting is held at 7 p.m. at the Barnegat Township Municipal Building, 900 West Bay Ave.

The two buildings would be three stories each, according to public notice, and 18,073 square feet. There would be 74 apartment units in total. Also included would be a leasing office, gym and common space.

Some variances are requested, as the apartments are proposed for 30 Erin Way, which is in the Town Center Neighborhood Commercial where multi-family apartments are not a permitted use.

Currently, the property is vacant land.
