MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Stafford Township has released the lineup for this year’s Green Fair, an event the township said will connect residents with local organizations, nonprofits, government agencies and environmental professionals at Manahawkin Lake Park.
The Green Fair is set for July 27 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
In a public announcement, the township said the fair is designed to help people learn about programs and services available in the community. The event will feature exhibitors focused on sustainability initiatives, conservation efforts, health, recreation, emergency preparedness and educational opportunities, according to the announcement.
The township described the Green Fair as a place where residents can speak directly with representatives instead of searching online or making phone calls. According to the announcement, attendees will be able to ask questions, gather information and learn more about resources available locally.
Stafford Township said the event may appeal to residents interested in saving money, improving their homes, learning about local wildlife or finding community programs. The announcement also said the fair offers opportunities to discover volunteer groups, property-related resources and new ways to get involved in the community.
The township encouraged visitors to start at the Green Team’s table, where exhibitor cards will be available. A full list of exhibitors has been posted on the township website at staffordnj.gov/725/Exhibitors.
The event is also being promoted as a family outing. The township said attendees can visit the exhibitors and farmers markets, enjoy the setting at Manahawkin Lake Park and stay for the Summer Concert Series, which is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
In the announcement, the township wrote, “Whether you're looking to save money, improve your home, learn about local wildlife, discover community programs, or simply spend an enjoyable evening at the park, the Green Fair has something for everyone!”
The township also called the fair “a unique opportunity to meet local organizations, nonprofits, government agencies, and environmental professionals face-to-face.” According to the announcement, residents can use the event to ask questions and get personalized information directly from participating groups.
