SURF CITY, NJ — Surf City residents and Long Beach Island visitors will have a chance to shop for books and support their local library during a two-day Friends of the Island Library sale in September.
The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 18 and Sept. 19 at the Long Beach Island Branch of the Ocean County Library.
Before the sale begins, the group will accept book donations from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 17. The branch is located at 217 South Central Ave.in Surf City.
All proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Island Library. The group provides local support for Ocean County Library branches, and the funds are used to expand programming at branches and support ongoing projects.
