Water discoloration and loss of water pressure may occur during this time period.
BARNEGAT, NJ — Barnegat Township officials have announced the dates for their spring fire hydrant flushing program. It began on Monday, March 28 and will continue through May 2.
This is necessary to ensure water quality, remove sediment build-up from water mains and check fire hydrants for proper operation, officials said.
The flushing will begin in neighborhoods west of the Parkway and continue to those east of the Parkway. You can see the individual locations in the Nixle alert here.
