WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON:

Dan Nee's regular fishing column is up first today, with a look at the coming start of the spring striper run.

Also coming up is a detailed rundown on the Barnegat Police Department's narcotics arrests and seizures in the township in 2011, and wrapping up today is our story on student test scores.

EVENTS:

• The Barnegat Library offers a presentation for kids on the Underground Railroad at 3:30 p.m. Kids ages 7 and up will learn how slaves followed the stars to freedom. Register online or call 609-698-3331.

Drivers may encounter thick fog before daybreak this morning, so be careful out there.
