WHAT WE'RE WORKING ON:

Today, we're working to bring you details on the news that a Big Lots department store is coming to the Route 9 storefront vacated by A&P last year. The township committee announced the arrival at this week's meeting.

Also coming up is a story on a local grassroots effort to get New Jersey residents to think locally when it comes to buying seafood.

EVENTS:

• The Barnegat Library's Teen Fiction Cafe starts at 5 p.m. today. Teens are invited to join in a discussion of their favorite storytelling mediums – books, movies, TV shows, video games and more – while enjoying tea and hot chocolate. The topic for March is tragedy: What makes a tragedy, and what's the best – or worst – tragedy in fiction?

WEATHER:

It's going to be very windy in New Jersey and much of the Mid Atlantic tonight into tomorrow, with gusts possibly reaching 40 and 45 mph. 

• Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 69. Breezy, with a southwest wind between 17 and 22 mph. 

• Tonight: Showers, mainly before 5 a.m. Low around 47. Breezy, with a south wind 16 to 24 mph becoming west. Winds could gust as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
