Barnegat Parents Have Southern Ocean Medical's First 2020 Baby

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Southern Ocean Medical Center rung in a new decade of births with a Barnegat family. Madison Calderon was born at 4:49 p.m. New Year's Day, marking the hospital's first 2020 birth.

Trisha and Charlie Calderon are the proud parents, and big sister Penelope now has a younger sibling. Madison weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces.

The mother and daughter are doing well and expect to head home soon, Southern Ocean Medical said Thursday.
