Barnegat Schools Awarded Again For Music Education Program
This is the fifth consecutive year the district has been honored by the NAMM Foundation for Best Communities for Music Education.
BARNEGAT, NJ — The Barnegat Township School District (BTSD) has again been recognized for its music program.
The NAMM Foundation, awarding districts across the country for their support and commitment to music education, named BTSD as one of its Best Communities for Music Education for the fifth consecutive year.
“Congratulations to our phenomenal Music Department for their hard work and commitment to excellence!” the district said in announcing the award.

“Our unwavering commitment is steadfast in embracing and rewarding educators, administrators, parents and community leaders who applaud and support comprehensive music instruction as a fundamental part of core learning opportunities,” said John Mlynczak, NAMM president and CEO. “These leaders offer an extraordinary model of teaching that ignites a foundation of success we can all honor and celebrate.”
According to the NAMM Foundation, “the schools and communities recognized by Best Communities for Music Education demonstrate a commitment to ensuring music learning opportunities are available for every student and provide an example for other communities to follow.”
