Barnegat, Stafford Schools Close For 2nd Day
The Barnegat Township, Stafford Township and Southern Regional school districts will close Tuesday.
BARNEGAT-MANAHAWKI, NJ — The Barnegat Township, Stafford Township and Southern Regional school districts will be closed for the second day in a row Tuesday due to the blizzard.
As of Monday morning, Southern Ocean received 16 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.

Barnegat Township students had used one built-in snow day as of Feb. 17; there were two in total. The second was used Monday. Days will be added on April 2 and 3. It is unclear what will happen with the additional day.
Stafford Township will use June 17, 18 and 19 as make-up snow days. The last day of school is also subject to being changed due to how many snow days are used.

Southern Regional students could see days of spring recess (April 6 through 10) recalled and used as make-up snow days.
