Barnegat Teens Threw Bottles Off Parkway Overpass: Police

Both kids, who were 14, threw bottles off the Garden State Parkway overpass on West Bay Avenue to the roadway below, police said.

Two Barnegat teens threw bottles off the Garden State Parkway overpass on West Bay Avenue onto the roadway below Sunday afternoon, police said. There have not been any reports of damage or injuries from the thrown bottles, according to the Barnegat Police Department.

Police said they found the teens, both 14-year-old boys from Barnegat, on the scene. Officials said they were arrested after an on-scene investigation.

One kid was charged with interference of transportation and unlawful possession of a knife, police said. The other was charged with unlawful possession of brass knuckles, according to police.
