Barnegat Ups Frequency Of School Cleanings Due To Entero 68 Virus

Custodians doing increased cleaning of school areas and classrooms to ward off virus

The Barnegat School district is taking a proactive approach to holding the Entero 68 virus at bay.

School custodians will be taking protective measures and cleaning school areas and classrooms more frequently, according to the app.com

Most kids who get D68 infections will have a milder course of disease that just means lots of rest and plenty of fluids. But if a child has rapid breathing - more than one per second consistently over the span of an hour, or labored breathing, it’s time to head to the emergency room, said Roya Samuels, a pediatrician at Steven & Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center.
