Barnegat Woman Killed In New Year's Day Parkway Crash: Police

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A Barnegat woman died on New Year's Day when her SUV crashed into a divider on the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey State Police said.

Tiara Muhammad, 31, was driving a Chevrolet SUV on the Parkway north at milepost 127.9 in Woodbridge around 3:30 a.m. Jan. 1, Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron told Patch.

The front of the SUV crashed into the bullnose divider that separates the northbound local and express lanes, causing Muhammad to be ejected from the vehicle, Lebron said.

She died from the impact, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available
