Barnegat's Cloverdale Park Center, Historical Tavern Site Reopen
Ocean County will reopen its Parks and Recreation Nature and Visitor Centers this week.

BARNEGAT, NJ — Two facilities will reopen this week in Barnegat: the Cloverdale Farm County Park Visitor Center and the Cedar Bridge Tavern County Historical Site.
Ocean County reopened its Parks and Recreation Nature and Visitor Centers on Thursday — the next step as the county gradually reopens its parks and facilities.
The Cloverdale Farm County Park Visitor Center (34 Cloverdale Rd.) will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.

The Cedar Bridge Tavern site on Cedar Bridge Road is open to visitors from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. The landmark, which predates the Revolutionary War, reopened last year as a historical showpiece after years of restoration.

Ocean County had closed all its parks March 31 to slow the spread of the coronavirus before beginning the reopening process May 2. All county parks reopened by May 22. The spray park at John C. Bartlett Jr. County Park at Berkeley island and all county playgrounds reopened July 2.
Bathroom facilities are available at all county parks, but visitors must wear a face covering while using them. Face coverings are strongly recommended in the dog parks at Ocean County Airpark in Berkeley and Ocean County Park in Lakewood.
