Beach Haven Chowder Cook-Off Sets 2026 Return

The two-day Beach Haven event returns Oct. 3 and 4 with free admission Saturday and tickets required Sunday.

BEACH HAVEN, NJ — Beach Haven will host the popular 2026 Chowder Cook-off on Oct. 3 and 4 behind Bay Village on Taylor Avenue, according to the Beach Haven Chamber of Commerce.

Saturday admission will be free, while Sunday will be a ticketed event.

The annual event is organized by the Beach Haven Chamber of Commerce and is billed as a two-day celebration of local chowder, live entertainment and family-friendly activities in the borough. The cook-off brings together chowder fans, local restaurants and visitors for taste-testing and community activities in Beach Haven.

Competitors will be divided into two chowder categories, red chowder and white chowder.

White chowder competitors are:

  • The Chicken or the Egg
  • Dolce Liberta
  • Element
  • Mud City Crab House
  • Panzone's LBI
  • Station 117

Red chowder competitors are:

  • 39 Degrees North
  • Country Kettle Chowda
  • Frankie Fed's
  • La Bamba
  • Lefty's
  • Sea Shell Resort

Attendees will be able to sample a variety of chowders from local businesses. Winners are set to be announced at the end of the event and will receive recognition and prizes tied to the competition.

The event will also include live music, arts and crafts vendors, and activities for children, according to the chamber's event information.
