Best Independent Bookstore In The Nation Is On LBI, Report Says

BEACH HAVEN, NJ — Those who love to sit in the sand and read a good book don't need to go very far to find the best bookstore in the country, according to USA Today.

USA Today has revealed the winners of their 10Best Reader's Choice Awards in the Best Independent Bookstore category, and coming in at number one is LBI Book Swap in Beach Haven.

"LBI Book Swap in Beach Haven, New Jersey is a four-floor treasure trove of both new and used books, with everything from popular bestsellers to well-loved classics lining the shelves," USA Today said.

The store offers new releases at publisher's price and used books discounted by at least 25 percent. As the store's name suggests, customers can trade in books in good condition for an additional 25 percent off a used book or 10 percent off a new book.

"A large selection of children’s, middle grade, and young adult titles makes it a favorite stop for families visiting Long Beach Island," USA Today said.
