Bivins, Continanza, Churney Lead In Barnegat School Board Race
Two challengers and one incumbent lead the unofficial tally for the Barnegat Township Board of Education.

BARNEGAT, NJ — Two challengers and one incumbent lead the unofficial tally for the Barnegat Township Board of Education. Alicia Bivins, Doreen Continanza and Sandra Churney hold the advantage as of 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Seven candidates ran for three available positions. Here are the unofficial results with 14 of 15 districts reporting:
- Alicia Bivins: 4,329
- Doreen Continanza: 3,907
- Sandra Churney: 3,792
- Christopher Sharpe: 3,584
- George Fedorczyk Jr.: 3,485
- Robert Geddes: 3,268
- Justin Deemer: 2,552
Sharpe, Bivins and Churney ran under the ticket "The Next Voice," hoping to bring three new faces to the school board.
