Body Found On Shoreline Of Jersey Shore State Park: Officials
The body was recovered Thursday afternoon at Barnegat Lighthouse State Park, officials told Patch.
BARNEGAT LIGHT, NJ — Officials are investigating after a body was found at Barnegat Lighthouse State Park on Thursday afternoon.
The body was recovered off the western shoreline of the High Bar Harbor portion of the park at about 1:50 p.m. on Aug. 15, a spokesperson for the Department of Environmental Protection told Patch.
The Ocean County Medical Examiner's Office will identify the body and determine the cause of death, officials said.

Barnegat Lighthouse State Park is located at the northern tip of Long Beach Island. The popular site is home to the Barnegat Lighthouse, which was first lit in 1859.
