Bomb Threat Forces Evacuation Of Manahawkin MVC: Police
The Motor Vehicle Commission and surrounding businesses had to be evacuated Monday afternoon due to the threat, police said.
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — A bomb threat called in Monday afternoon forced the evacuation of the Manahawkin Motor Vehicle Commission and surrounding businesses, Stafford police said.
Police were alerted to the threat, made by an unknown caller, at about 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 27, police said.
Cops immediately responded and evacuated the buildings as a precaution.

The Ocean County Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit and a Beach Haven Police Department K-9 Unit responded to the scene and cleared the buildings of any threats after a search, Stafford police said.
Businesses were able to resume normal operations following the search.

Further details were not immediately available, and the incident is currently under investigation by the Stafford Township Detective Bureau.
