SHIP BOTTOM, NJ — Burger lovers will soon have a new location to chow down at while spending a beautiful day at the beach.

Burger 25, the popular Toms River spot for burgers and milkshakes, is opening a new Ship Bottom location next summer.

The restaurant announced the news via social media on Christmas Day, with a simple message: "Santa brought Denise the ultimate gift this year…a 2nd location! Ship Bottom, LBI we are coming for ya."

Burger 25 moved to their current location back in 2020, and the owners, Denise and Steve Vetter, said that the new location would open in late spring 2023.

The news was met with hundreds of excited Facebook comments. And the owners said they would keep the location open year-round.

The family-owned restaurant is taking over the former Surf Taco spot. The Vetters said they hope to collaborate with local businesses and plan on a new "shake bar," and have been in contact with management at the Chicken or the Egg for island tips.

Burger 25, which prides itself on being "the best burgers in New Jersey," is perhaps best-known for its monthly specials of both burgers and milkshakes.

Their lengthy menu also features a wide variety of non-burger sandwiches, different kinds of fries and even some treats for the dog.
