Car Strikes Pole In Manahawkin; Child Injured

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — A 13-year-old passenger was hospitalized after a Route 9 car crash Thursday, police said. The passenger sustained head and leg injuries and was taken to the Jersey Shore Trauma Center.

The crash took place at 5:09 p.m. Thursday on Route 9 near Julian Court. A 17-year-old Little Egg Harbor boy was driving south on Route 9 when his vehicle struck a pole, police said.
