LITTLE EGG HARBOR, NJ — A Little Egg Harbor man was found to be both uploading and downloading child pornography, as well as growing marijuana, from his home, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.

Michael Kozdron, 41, had in excess of 1,000 child pornography images and 14 marijuana plants, said Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.

The office's High Tech Crimes Unit identified an IP address associated with a Little Egg Harbor home that was used to upload images of child sexual abuse to the internet using bittorrent Peer 2 Peer file sharing software; the individual doing so was Kozdron, Billhimer said.

A court-authorized search warrant was executed on Kozdron's home on June 20, Billhimer said.

Upon entry, the marijuana plants and lights, seeds, ventilation and irrigation systems, and other paraphernalia used for growing marijuana were seen "in plain view," Billhimer said.

Further investigation revealed Kozdron was using a laptop at the house to both upload and download more than 1,000 child sexual abuse images, Billhimer said

Kozdron was charged with distribution of child pornography, possession of child pornography, maintaining or operating a controlled dangerous substance production facility, and possession of more than ten but less than fifty marijuana plants with intent to distribute, Billhimer said.

He was taken to the Little Egg Harbor Police Department and then to the Ocean County Jail, where he remains, pending a detention hearing.
