Chowderfest Cook-Off Classic Returns To LBI
Local restaurants compete in a couple weeks for chowder supremacy.
BEACH HAVEN, NJ — Long Beach Island restaurants will soon compete for chowder supremacy. The 31st annual Chowderfest returns next month.
The Merchant's Mart runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Taylor Avenue Ballfield (between Ninth Street and Taylor Avenue, by the bay in Beach Haven). Admission is free.
Then the Chowderfest Cook-Off Classic runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6. General admission costs $30 ($1.86 sales tax). Children's tickets are #10 ($0.62 sales tax). VIP tickets costs $65 ($2.49 sales tax) and include a t-shirt, early admission at 10 a.m. and exclusive admission to the VIP bar. Click here for tickets.

Creative seafood chowder:
A portion of Chowder Cook-Off Classic tickets will support LBI Region tourism marketing.
Here are a few reminders:
- Blankets on the field are not permitted
- Lawn chairs in paved areas only
- Strollers must be parked at our secured gate area. You will receive a ticket for retrieval
- Smoke free event
- No pets allowed by order of the Board of Health
