Chowderfest Officially Cancelled For 2015

It’s official. Chowderfest lovers will have to wait until next year for the iconic event in Beach Haven.

“There will be no rescheduling of Chowderfest this year,” according to chowderfest.com.

”Chowderfest Weekend is comprised of hundreds of volunteers and dozens of rental contracts, licenses and permits that make this event happen. There is no way to reschedule for 2015.”

Event organizers had put up the massive tents earlier last week, despite the dire weather forecasts and hoped for the best. But the storm brought high winds, pounding surf and flooding to Long Beach Island.

Anyone who purchased advance tickets should hang on to them as proof of purchase to receive a refund.

“We are formulating the refund procedure which will be available as soon as possible,” the post states.

More information will be available by the end of the week.
