Chowderfest Sets Return To LBI
Head to LBI all through September to taste the best local chowders, and vote for your favorite to be celebrated at Chowderfest.
LONG BEACH ISLAND, NJ — It's almost that time of year. Starting Labor Day Weekend, enjoy the Chowder Trail in LBI and taste the best local chowders. Then, on Oct. 1, Chowderfest makes its return.
Register to be a Traveling Taster and vote for your favorite chowder spots. The participating locations for 2022 are Country Kettle Chowda, Daddy O, Delaware Avenue Oyster House & Bar, Dockside Diner, La Bamba Express, Russo's Italian Restaurant & Ice Cream, the Chicken or the Egg, the Old Causeway Steak & Oyster House and Tuckers Tavern. The Chowder Trail runs from Sept. 3-30.
On Oct. 1, the free festival will be held at Taylor Avenue Bayfront in Beach Haven to celebrate the trail. The 34th Annual Chowderfest will feature live music, vendors, alcohol and of course, chowder for purchase. You can even bring pets for a day of fun.
