BARNEGAT LIGHT, NJ — The Coast Guard rescued several boaters Tuesday evening off Long Beach Island. Officials found the mariners unharmed but unable to sail back because of environmental conditions.

Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay received a call from a family member of boaters who hadn't yet arrived as scheduled. Sector Delaware Bay launched a search from Station Barnegat Light with a 24-foot small boat. The Long Beach Township Police Department launched drones to assist with the search.

Once the crews found the boaters, they put the sailboats in tow and brought them safely to the dock.
