Sunny skies on the way, but watch for rips.

The National Weather Service is calling for another day with sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80s.

Beach winds will be from the east at five to 10 miles per hour. There is no lightning threat today.

Waves will be around three feet, with southeast swells around two feet. The ocean water temperature is 76 degree. There's a moderate risk of rip currents, which means wind or wave conditions support stronger or more frequent rip currents.

Use a flotation device while in the water and swim only in guarded areas. Ask the guards about any possible surf zone hazards.

The UV index is an 8, which the NWS considers very high.

Low tide at Belmar will arrive at 10:36 a.m., followed by high tide at 4:56 p.m. Another low tide will roll in at 11:26 p.m.
