Curriculum To Be Discussed At Special Barnegat School Board Meeting
An emergency meeting is set to discuss the lack of an approved curriculum for the 2023-24 school year.

BARNEGAT, NJ — The Barnegat Board of Education has set a special meeting this week to discuss the curriculum for the upcoming school year.
At the last meeting on Aug. 22, an evenly split board was unable to approve a new curriculum for the 2023-24 school year, which begins next week.
It wasn't clear why four board members voted no as there was no prior discussion, but the decision would cost the district at least $15,000, Board President Sean O'Brien told Patch. Read more: No Approved Curriculum Sends Barnegat School District Scrambling
