Deadline For Ocean Township Toy Drive is Dec. 15

New toys or monetary donations can be dropped off at Town Hall or at the police department.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

But for some residents, times are tough. So Ocean Township is collecting unopened toys and money donations to help out, according to the police department’s Facebook page.

“We, the people of Ocean Township, believe that no child should have to go without Christmas due to hardships they cannot control,” the post reads. ”If you should see it in your heart to send a donation, please have it delivered or sent to us by Dec. 15 to allot us time to organize them.”

The Toy Drive’s organizers are hoping that local first responders, PTA groups, churches, organizations and business owners will catch the holiday spirit and help spread the word about the toy drive.

Unwrapped gifts can be brought to Town Hall or the police department and dropped into the barrels provided. Checks should be made out to ”The Ocean Township Municipal Alliance.”
