Digging Deep Holes On The Beach Is Dangerous And Prohibited
Harvey Cedars Beach Patrol found a six-foot hole on the beach on Saturday.

Members of the the Harvey Cedars Beach Patrol are warning beachgoers not to dig holes in the sand that are more than knee-high.
The Beach Patrol found a six-foot hole on the beach on Saturday, according to its Facebook page.
“We want to remind people that digging holes deeper than knee height of the person digging is prohibited and holes should be filled in,” the post states. “Sand collapses have killed dozens of people in the U.S. and injure many more. Large holes are also dangerous for emergency vehicles on the beach and keeps the beach rake tractor from properly cleaning the beach.”
