LITTLE EGG HARBOR, NJ — Officers feared the worst when a dog slipped through a hole and fell between a deck and a bulkhead on a lagoon front property in the Mystic Island section of Little Egg Harbor, but the story had a happy ending, as seen through a video shared by local police.

When the dog fell on Sept. 11, things didn't look good, as there was water in the area and the dog was not responding to calls, police said.

But things brightened up once lights were shone through the cracks and the dog was spotted, alive and well.
