Earth Day Events Set To Help Keep Stafford Clean
Celebrate Earth Day with two events that will help Stafford Township keep plastic out of landfills.
STAFFORD, NJ — Want to celebrate Earth Day by doing something tangible? Stafford is offering two events on April 22 that focus on keeping the community clean and keeping plastic out of landfills.
The Stafford Township Green Team and the Alliance for a Living Ocean are pairing up to organize a community-wide cleanup. Seven different locations will host the cleanup from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and supplies will be provided, though participants are asked to bring their own reusable water bottle.

- Bridge to Nowhere (End of Stafford Avenue)
- Walt Brummer Blvd., behind Stafford's Municipal Complex (water station available)
- Manahawkin Lake Park (water station available)
- Ocean Acres Elementary School (water station available)
- Neptune Basin
- End of Oxycocus Road
- Mill Creek Road
The Green Team is also hosting a Second Life Toy Drive. You can donate gently used plastic toys that are clean and have no broken or missing parts. Donations are accepted on April 22 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bay Avenue Community Center (775 East Bay Ave.).

If you want to reuse a donated toy, you can pick them up at the same location on April 23 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. All are welcome to give these toys a second life.
