BARNEGAT-MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Election Day is Nov. 7, and Barnegat and Stafford residents head to the polls to elect local and federal representatives, including a new mayor.

Voters are able to vote by mail, early in-person and in-person on Election Day.

What And Who Are On The Ballot

  • State Senate - 9th Legislative District: Republican Berkeley Mayor Carmen Amato and Democrat Gabriel Franco are seeking the open seat.
  • General Assembly - 9th Legislative District: Republican incumbent Brian E. Rumpf and Stafford Mayor Gregory Myrhe are running on a ticket with Amato. Democrats Joseph Atura and Sarah "Sally" Collins are running with Franco. Also running is Barry Bendar under the Green Party.
  • Ocean County Surrogate: Vote one for a five-year term. Republican incumbent Jeffrey W. Moran is challenged by Democrat Charles D. Bauer.
  • Board of Commissioners: Vote one for a three-year term. Republican Frank Sadeghi and Democrat Roxanne L. Barnes are vying for one open seat.
  • Barnegat Township Committee: Vote two for a three-year term. Republican incumbents Alfonso Cirulli and Joseph Marte are challenged by Democrats Ronald J. Naples and Charles C. Cunliffe.
  • Barnegat Township Board of Education: Vote three for a three-year term. Incumbents Sandra Churney and Lauren Washburn are joined by Doreen Continanza on the "Education Is Key" ticket. Incumbent Colleen Angus, Summer Spagnuolo and George Fedorczyk, Jr. are running on the "Believe In Barnegat" ticket.
  • Stafford Township Board of Education: Three seats are open for three-year terms. Incumbent Patricia Formica is running on the "For The Students" slogan. Gregory Gioe, III is running under "Serious About Education." Brian Fenlon, Jr., Bonnie Strouse and Gina Jorge are running under "Students First." Karin Kleban-Allen is running under "Back To Basics."
  • Southern Regional Board of Education: Vote two for a three-year term. Incumbent Heather Tatur and Chris Taylor are running on the "Forever A Ram" ticket. Joseph Mangino is running without a slogan.
