The John F. Peto Studio Museum will hold its 2nd Annual Summer Solstice Celebration on June 21st from 6pm to 9pm on the museum grounds at 102 Cedar Street, Island Heights. Back by popular demand to open the museum’s summer concert series is the Willie Mitchell Collaboration.
The Willie Mitchell Collaboration is a Blues/R&B band that gets the crowd up and dancing. They play a wide spectrum of Blues and R&B tunes by Albert King, James Brown, T-Bone Walker, Sam And Dave, Temptations, Otis Redding, Clarence Carter and Wilson Pickett.
Bring a blanket or chair and a picnic basket and have a great time listening and dancing to this great Jersey Shore band. In case of rain, bring your picnic to the Island Heights United Methodist Church at 111 Ocean Avenue, Island Heights. Admission to the event is $15 for adults; $5 children 2-12 years old. For paid reservations log on to www.petomuseum.org and click on “events” or call 732-929-4949.
