Evening Of Fun Set For Barnegat's National Night Out

Get to know your local police with food trucks, bounce houses and lots of community fun on Aug. 8.

BARNEGAT, NJ — When residents and law enforcement get to know each other and work together, it makes for a better, safer community. Join Barnegat police for 2023's National Night Out on Aug. 8 for an evening of fun and camaraderie.

The annual event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Barnegat High School. It is presented by Barnegat PBA 296.

Family-friendly fun is set, including bounce houses, food trucks, vendors, touch-a-truck, a K9 demonstration and much more.

"National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live," the event's official website reads. "National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances."
