Fire Damages Ocean Acres Home: Police
The back of the house and the deck were engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at about 11:30 p.m., police said.
MANAHAWKIN, NJ — An Ocean Acres was damaged in a late night house fire over the weekend, according to Stafford police.
The fire was reported on the 200 block of Schooner Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 23, police said.
Upon arrival, the back of the home and the deck were engulfed in flames, police said.

Firefighters arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. The home's immediate neighbors were evacuated for precautionary purposes and Breakers Drive was temporarily closed to through traffic, police said.
No injuries were reported.

Investigation into the fire's cause is ongoing, however, it doesn't appear suspicious in nature, police said.
A family of four was displaced, according to the American Red Cross, who provided emergency assistance.
