UPDATE: Pereira, Brown, Geddes Win Three Seats On Barnegat Board Of Ed
Incumbent Kelly Sawicki loses bid for another term.

Here are the results of the race for the three, three-yea; seats on the Barnegat Board of Education:
Maria Pereira, 68 First Street, was the top vote getter with 2,748 votes. Gary Brown, 33 Jon Drive, came in second with 2,605 votes. Robert Geddes was third with 2,224 votes.
Incumbent Kelly Sawicki, 18 Teakwood Lane, lost her bid for another term. Sawicki received 1,743 votes. Walter Sanford, 109 Burr Street, received 1,410 votes.

David Sherman won the one-year unexpired term on the board. He received 2,142 votes. Penelope LeCain, 200 Newark Road South, received 1,667 votes.
The district consists of a high school, middle school and four elementary schools.
