Floor Caves In During Wedding At Jersey Shore Restaurant: Officials
Wedding guests and patrons at Daymark on LBI had to be evacuated Saturday night after fears that the second floor would collapse.
BARNEGAT LIGHT, NJ — Wedding guests and patrons at Daymark Saturday evening had to be evacuated due to fears that the second floor would collapse, officials said.
A wedding reception was being held at the Long Beach Island restaurant on Sept. 17 when first responders received reports that the second floor had collapsed, Barnegat Light Volunteer Fire Company #1 said.
"The floor did not collapse, but caved in resulting in the structure being unsafe for the meantime," fire officials said.

There were no injuries, officials said. Officials thanked Barnegat Light First Aid Squad, Squads 49, 14, 38, medics 1303, EMS coordinator, fire marshals, Long Beach Township police and more.
Barnegat Light first aid responders reported that they were working to secure the building's structure on Saturday.

"The DJ did an excellent job of announcing to all patrons to safely exit the building after hearing the rumble noise," officials said.
"Also, congratulations to the bride and groom!" officials wrote.
