Forum On Mold At Cecil Collins School To Be Held At Barnegat High School

The information session will feature both an environmental consultant and a cleaning service

The district will hold an information forum on mold at 6 p.m. tonight at , where officials will discuss the specifics of the at the

The meeting will also include procedures and timelines.

The specific mold found at the school is a relativley speaking "good" mold, aspergillus penicillium, according to Dean Allison, business administrator/board secretary.

The prior to the start of the school year when the mold was discovered earlier this month. The 300-plus students have been spread out among the three other district elementary schools and  since the first day of school.

"I don't think they'll be in before November," said Allison, referring to the students who were relocated from the Cecil Collins School. There's too high a humidity level. We might have to look into a new HVAC system."

 "We're going to move as fast as we can," Allison said. "This has an extremely high priority."
