The will most likely not open before December, according to an official from a company the Barnegat School District hired to contend with the initial cleanup process.
The school has been after a forced the shutdown of the building.
The following are highlights from a forum the district held Monday night.

- In addition to the mold cleanup, the district must also address a leaky roof and contend with the HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) system. "That's the first step," said Timothy Popp, director of Environmental Consulting.
- The specific mold found at the school is a relatively speaking "good" mold, aspergillus penicillium.
- The entire school, including every item, from text books to chalkboards, will be either cleaned or disposed of, according to Popp.
- Every item will be hepa vacuumed, wiped and vacuumed again.
- Bids are expected to be in today for the entire cleanup process.
The 300-plus students who attend the school have been spread out among the three other district elementary schools and since the first day of school.
"We're going to move as fast as we can," said Dean Allison, business administrator/board secretary. "This has an extremely high priority."
