Hoofy's Fall Fest Returns To Honor Late Barnegat Officer
Hoofy's Fall Fest was established to honor Barnegat Police Officer Alex Hoffman, who died on Oct. 2, 2019.

BARNEGAT, NJ — The fourth annual Hoofy's Fall Fest will be held Oct. 21, in honor of the late Barnegat Police Officer Alex Hoffman.
Hoffman, or "Hoofy" as he was best known, died on Oct. 2, 2019, after suffering a medical episode while off-duty, working his second job in Lakewood. Read More: Grief For Barnegat Police Officer Who Died Off-Duty

Since then, the community has organized Hoofy's Fall Fest as a way to memorialize Hoffman and to raise money for the Alex Hoffman Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The festival, sponsored by PBA 296 and the Barnegat Township Recreation Department, will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 11 Birdsall St.

There will be fun for the whole family. Mom and dad can enjoy local breweries and wine vendors, while kids can have fun with a petting zoo, inflatables, face painting, pumpkin decorating, games and more.
Food trucks and craft vendors will be present while live music and entertainment plays.
At 6 p.m., there will be a showing of "Hocus Pocus" on the lawn.
Hoofy's Fall Fest was organized by officers Tim Bradshaw and Lauren Keilitz, both of whom worked closely with Hoffman, Patch previously reported.
