Jon Stewart Relaxes At LBI Days After 9/11 Victims Bill Passes
A couple days after he successfully helped pass the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund bill, Jon Stewart got to have a little Jersey Shore fun.

BEACH HAVEN, NJ — Jon Stewart helped get the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund bill signed into law. Days later, he had a little fun on Long Beach Island.
Manahawkin resident Amanda Campor found the former "Daily Show" host Wednesday at Thundering Surf Water Park in Beach Haven. Campor told Stewart her father is retiring from Las Vegas PD next month.
She asked if she could take a picture with Stewart for her father. Stewart happily obliged and told her several times to congratulate him.

"I think it shows how amazing he is — willing to stop what he was doing (although just walking back to his Cabana after having fun on the slides) to take a picture with me and chat for a few minutes," Campor wrote to Patch.
Chris Heins also spotted Stewart at Scojo's Eatery in Surf City. Heins's son, Michael, is a U.S. Marine recruit, contracted to leave for Paris Island for basic training Nov. 3.

"They responded in five seconds," Stewart told lawmakers in an impassioned plea. "They did their jobs with courage, grace, tenacity, humility. Eighteen years later, do yours."
