BEACH HAVEN, NJ — There's a new way to get around Long Beach Island. New business LBI Carts can give you a street-legal, six-person golf cart to drive.

Currently, carts are only allowed on Beach Haven streets. But they'll allow the family, and the dog, to go to the beach, travel restaurants and see the sunset.

LBI Carts will even deliver the vehicle to you, said General Manager David Beattie.

"If you have a full house, we'll bring it right to the house, drop it off in the morning," Beattie said. "It's just a little bit of paperwork."

The carts can drive up to 25 mph. They don't need fuel, and they get up to 40 miles on a single, full charge with any standard household outlet.
