LBI Chowderfest Cook-Off, Booth And Costume Winners Announced
Popular annual event in Beach Haven draws thousands

The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce has released the names of the winners in the annual Chowder Cook-Off Classic held today in Beach Haven.
Sixteen area restaurants vied for top honors in New England and Manhattan clam chowder, better known as white and red here on Long Beach Island.
The participating white chowder restaurants included Country Kettle Chowda, The Chicken or the Egg, TGI Friday’s in Manahawkin, The Stockton Seaview, Howard’s, Phillips, Resorts, Arcadia Rehab and Nursing. Red chowder contestants included Lefty’s, Shore Fire Grille, Sea Oaks Country Club, The Black Whale, Stefano’s, The Maine Course, Southern Smoke and Cuisine on the Green.

Critics’ Choice Red: Lefty’s Tavern

Rookie of the Year: Cuisine on the Green at Atlantis
