The Learning Experience in Manahawkin raised over $800 for American Cancer Society 

The Learning Experience®, the nation’s fastest growing Academy of Early Education for children six weeks to six years old, in Manahawkin raised over $800 to date for Relay for Life, the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The event was held on Saturday, May 20th, from 2:00 p.m. to midnight at the Southern Regional High School located at 90 Cedar Bridge Road in Manahawkin.

Over 50 participants from The Learning Experience supported the event and participated in the day's activities including the Opening Ceremony, Survivors lap, Caregivers lap, Luminaria Ceremony, and the Closing Ceremony. In keeping with the Academy’s one-of-a-kind philanthropy curriculum aimed towards lessons of selflessness, the littlest citizens of Manahawkin were taught a lesson much bigger than themselves, that spread hope throughout the community.

Relay for Life is a team fundraiser where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path. Each event can last anywhere between 6 to 24 hours and all teams are required to always have one member on the track, which signifies that cancer never sleeps.
